Two Republicans and two Democrats introduced S.3223 in the U.S Senate last week recommending that Congress authorize $1.3 billion annually from energy and mineral revenues on federal lands and waters for projects to conserve at-risk fish and wildlife species.
While not identical to H.R.4647, S.3223 shares a strong emphasis on the funding needed to address America’s wildlife crisis, to protect fish and wildlife before they become endangered.
Partners across the country applaud the Senator’s leadership on this issue, and will continue to work with Senate members to communicate the critical need for the dedicated funding included in H.R.4647.
